Acclaimed realist painter and founder of Chicago's School of Representational Art, Bruno Surdo is a proven expert at adapting age-old archetypes and mythological themes to present-day settings.  Bruno Surdo’s compositions set modern-day subjects in the style of the Old Masters. Adapting time-honored methods of painting to present-day settings fills each work with tension and rhythm. Surdo’s scenes of contemporary subjects struggling with the rigors of modern life weave perfectly with the impassioned compositions of classical painting. Flawlessly rendered forms in emotive poses create a distinct atmosphere of intrigue and wonder, only found in the grand tradition of representational painting.
